2006- Return to China...Hong Kong

Hong Kong, China.....now HERE's a contrast between old and new!
Sue and Robert met up in Hong Kong to start Sue's return to China for
the rest of Robert's teaching year. Took the Star Ferry across the
harbor to Hong Kong, spotting a sampan cruising in front of the winged
Convention Centre in Central, the economic hub of Hong Kong.

Climbed beautiful Victoria Peak, which overlooks Hong Kong,
the harbor and Kowloon on the mainland. Then we took the cable car
down, fully loaded with about 80 people, which was literally hanging
from the cable at a 60 degree angle....!! Enjoyed prowling downtown,
especially with Sue hanging out with the smoked Peking ducks and
Robert's fascination with sheep on the beer bottles. Went out to
dinner with Robert's cousin and his family....wonderful reunion!

Later, we did some shopping along famed Nathan Road, awash in neon
signs and banners. Went to the Science Museum and enjoyed watching
the kids interacting with the exhibits as much as the displays
themselves!

We will return to Hong Kong in a month or so....so much
more to see!

Sue
